Lemonade On the Lawn

It started as a small thing, a conversation amongst friends about looking forward to spring and what plans they should make. When one of them made a silly off handed comment. Something about wanting to sip lemonade on the lawn. The friend group joked and poked that lemonade was more of a summer drink, but when the time came and the snow melted. They all sat on the sprawling lawns of the local park, sipping lemonade.

It brightened all their spirits so much, they decided right then to make it a yearly thing. And Faithfully, when the wheel of the year turned, and the sky turned bright blue. They were there, same spot, same lemonade.

That was nearly 30 years ago, and like most things where time is involved it morphed and evolved into something larger. What was once a intimate friend gathering, used to reconnect after the harshness and isolation of winter. Was now an annual event in the City of Sigil. What's this about:

"Lemonade on the Lawn" is a casual, open to all, location Roleplay.

What is the location: The Location is at Greenfair Meadows, a once private estate turned into a public facing park.

Lemonade on the lawn, is the name of the spring festival being hosted there. The main attractions are vendors selling their wares, tasty food, and outdoor activities (such as kite flying, cornhole, and other lawn games) at the park. To catch up with friends and society after the harshness of winter.

90% of the roleplay needs to take place at Lemonade of the Lawn. If the story between your character and others, takes you away from the location of this roleplay, please make a new roleplay in The Story Nook

You are welcome to bring any and all of your OC/s that can adapt to a modern fantasy, city, setting.

This is not earth, but, think of any major 2010's modern earth city.

For the sake of ease, we will call the city this is in, Sigil.

And because I like to link my roleplays together Embers and Moonlight is located in the same city.

Some Basic World Mechanics

So that we're on the same page.

You're OC do not need to be strictly human

All fantasy creatures are welcome but they need to have a humanoid appearance they can take/shift into. Rule of thumb is their humanoid form they need to be 85% human looking.

Also please stick to things you've made your own twist on.

Do not just plot a race of beings straight out of something else. this isn't a fandom rp.

Additionally: In this *city/world* all fantasy creatures are a known and accepted thing. Any fear or biases will need to be character specific.

Plot?:

There is no big over arching plot to the roleplay. Other than, its a standard outdoor spring festival with vendors and what not.

Otherwise, this is a casual, improv. roleplay.

Whatever plot beyond the above, will need to be character specific and between you and those you interact with in the roleplay!

So get creative, and make this a cool jumping off point!

Post size and Frequency:

Please keep post size no smaller than 3 sentences (15 words) per the forum rules. And No longer than 4-5 paragraphs.

Please use common sense, and don't respond to someone if you can't semi closely match their energy.

I ask that people please make at least 1 post every 2-3 days.

When it makes sense too, and if it doesn't make sure to speak up in here, so people aren't left waiting on you, when you're waiting on them.

And everyone should understanding you will get a reminder ping at 2 days.

Additionally.

This roleplay will practice pinging those they are replying to at the end of the post.

With additional pings to those who the post might effect.

What I'm Looking for:

Basically this is just a location for people to jump in, and freeform roleplay. "First come, first serve bases."

I (Fire) have a few characters I would like to play with some story plots attached to them if anyone is interested.

People are welcome to play

- Vendors at the event.

- Park staff ( from park rangers, to event coordinators and everything in between)

- Individuals there with friends just to enjoy the event.

- Or something else, if you have an usually idea, pitch it to me and we can discuss it.
