Not sure if ya'll noticed or not. But Jasper has been a **HUGE** help here around The Directory.

Like, seriously. You have no idea how grateful I am to them.

So Jasper has been promoted to a community mod, and rightfully so.

Soooo Congrats to Jasper! 🎈 🎊 🎉

We have a fancy new FAQ

Which I think everyone will find very handy. So check it, if newcomers' have questions point them towards it, and Newcomers guide.

Together both those things should answer any question anyone has.

We added a Meet the Staff! Which is pretty neat if you want to know who is actually staff, or what any of us are about.

Rule Infraction Channels.

Ok this is a bit of a bigger deal. Moving forward, when we deal with broken rules and dead rp ads. They will be pulled into a PRIVATE thread in one of the three rule infraction channels, and dealt with there.

No more dms, no more cluttering up ads. No more, "Hey where did my ad go?"

Emoji React Agree to rules system

So through the month of December there was a TON of rule breaking when it came to the ad sections. Lots of people not reading rules. *tsk tsk*

So, we adopted another system.

To post ads, you must read and agree/accept the rules in each ad forum.

You can find these rules in the pinned post at the top of each forum.

The emoji to click to get the role that gives you the perms to post. IS in there.

This works the same like any other reaction role menu.

ALSO We adopted this in Creative Corner. So that people can post up their art and links to things instantly.

Instead of having to wait to reach established member rank.

We changed one of our reaction role menus to reflect RP Style instead of skill.

Cause post length has nothing to do with being literate.

How post size EVER became the means on how people determined literacy is.. well wild. You can also now pick more than one style. Cause sometimes you want something casual. Other times you want something super lore and mechanical heavy. Something that tests your various writing abilities.

We updated some of our rules.

Now we get to the fun part of this announcement.

Its 2026 everyone!

And we've got plannnnnnnnnnsssssssssss!

First off,.. 2k members is right around the corner.

Can you believe it.. I can't. 2 years ago we had like 200-300 maybe. It is soo fucking ( yes fucking) cool that we've grown this much.

I am OVER the moooooon about it.

So that means we're taking to 2026 to focus more on growth.

Soooo Fire? what does that look like?

We will be creating a Website, and Social Media pages for the Directory. And obviously if you're reading this here, we've done just that....

The website will be more like a landing page and blog. It'll have our information, how to get here, Information on our partners, and things we are doing here.

And maybe a news letter, that's IF we achieve all our other goals, Other wise that might be a 2027 thing. Oh yes, you better believe it.. we're not going anywhere.. so thoughts and plans for even the following year are rocking around in this old noggin.

Super Members and Spotlight Channel

Look, the bottom line is. A community is only as great and as strong as its members. So it felt important to highlight that and give people different options on how to support this place, and be rewarded for doing so.

Not everyone has the extra cash to buy nitro or boosts.

So as much as we love it when people boost the server.

cause we really do!

We also LOVE it when people are here, being active and being community.

So we're 1 building a spot light channel, that will work similarly to a advertising channel that you see on a lot of other hubs. Everyone posts in the same channel. You get to repost every so often.

This channel will work the same, and everyone who is a super member, or a nitro booster gets to use it.

Same info will be posted then on the social media pages and the website.

It'll sit in the [Start Here] Category. So its the first thing newcomers see.

Super member rank is achieved by sending 250 messages on the server over a revolving 7 days.

Building the Mod Teams

To help support more activity on the server

Which in turn will make it easier to people to reach 250 messages. and build a stronger community.

We will be building up a mod team ( 3-5 people) for each forum in the Community Lounge area.

These people will be the spark, the heart beat, the core of each little sub community on the directory.

Builing activity, content, and fun things to do in each section..

Along with... Events.

Events (in fact at the moment this is being posted we're running our first themed set of mini events!!)

Oh yes,.. 2026 will be the year that the Directory starts to do events.

we're planning on doing Seasonal events.

Where all the events will follow a theme with in the season.

And Each forum will have their own events they run.

Along with ... Group event Tournaments.

I've already been so long winded in this announcement as it is. So I can't go into too much detail here. But the tournaments will run along side the seasonal events. Together but separate.

We are looking forward to debuting this all come Spring. ( so mid/late march )

Additional Entry Level to Staff

To help support the above.

We have added Assistants to our staff team.

Entry level, no obligation, help as much or as little as you can and want.

From this group and our welcoming crew, We will be building our Mod teams from.

Maybe I am just tooo excited for this year.
