Blood On The Ridge 18±

“If you drive through the mountain gaps past midnight, turn your radio up. It drowns out the howling coming from the woodline.” 1967. Northeast Tennessee. The Tri-Cities are doing pretty well for themselves. Bristol sits right on the state line, Johnson City is full of college kids and anti-war protesters, and Kingsport is dominated by Eastman and its endless smokestacks. The radio is full of psychedelic rock. Muscle cars are everywhere. The war in Vietnam is hanging over just about everyone… Then there's the mountains. People around here have always had stories about what lives out in the woods. Most of them are just stories… Probably. THREE CITIES. THREE VERY DIFFERENT WORLDS. BRISTOL (TN/VA) A city split between two states, two governments, and more than a few secrets. The state line makes it convenient for people who don't want to be found. JOHNSON CITY College town, counterculture, coffee shops, protests, and plenty of people who don't ask too many questions. KINGSPORT Factories, rail yards, chemical plants, and a lot of people working long shifts. The Eastman plant looms over the city, and something about Kingsport just feels wrong after dark. THE SUPERNATURAL STAYS HIDDEN Most people don't know what's actually going on. * A body turns up in a Bristol alley? It's a murder. * Someone sees something moving through the trees? Probably a bear. * A strange woman is seen walking the same stretch of road every night? People talk about it for a few days, then move on. That's the advantage of living in Appalachia. People already believe in ghosts, witches, haints, curses, and things that go bump in the night. So when something genuinely strange happens, it's easy to write it off as another mountain story… Until it happens to you. WHO ARE YOU? You don't have to be some big important character. In fact, most people aren't. * Law Enforcement * Hunter * Moonshiner * Store Worker * Barista * Priest * College Student * Factory Worker * Etc… And if you're looking for something less human... Vampires. Werewolves. Witches. Warlocks. Demons. The choice is yours.
