Summary
Following the detonation of an experimental "meta bomb" shortly before the beginning of the Manhattan project, individuals began to experience "Awakenings". Initially, those who became Awakened merely possessed elevated traits, such as strength, speed, and durability, yet as time passed, greater powers emerged.
Now, it is the current year, and the planet is in a state of unrest. In 2023, Earth's #1 Superhero, Lady Blacklight, heroically sacrificed herself to save the planet from the mega asteroid, Kronos, the energies released from her sacrifice causing a great awakening across the planet. With her fall, the Department of Metahuman Efficiency, better known as DOME, has scrambled to ensure that order and control are kept over the metahuman community.
New heroes, such as now #1 hero, Stormcall, have taken up the mantle of protecting the world, but even she is but a flickering candle against the overwhelming darkness that threatens the planet. As personal, political, and global tensions rise, the world is in need of new heroes to protect it, especially with the looming terrors on the horizon.
How Roleplaying Works
This server is a play-by-post roleplaying server, organized into individual roleplaying rooms for one-on-one or multi-player group RP. Characters are submitted for approval to the server's setting VIA provided templates. All writers are expected to be literate, can write in paragraph/multiple paragraph length, and keep writing in the third person, past tense. We are happy to answer questions as they come along!
